When you take out a support contract with us, you receive telephone, remote and onsite support, including regular scheduled days onsite for a set price – you don’t pay extra for additional support hours that are needed. We also believe that providing full days as part of the scheduled time onsite is more effective than breaking days up between 2 or 3 schools, as schools don’t feel short-changed by an engineer who has to stick rigidly to a schedule and then has to move on to the next school as quickly as possible. Having a full day onsite gives us the opportunity not just to fix issues, but also to help staff in achieving their objectives – we have time to deal with the “How do I?” and “I need to…” type of queries. We feel this reflects the value of a more proactive support model, helping schools develop beyond the more traditional reactive support models.
We can help schools to plan and budget for their IT investment with a 5-year plan. This helps schools ascertain their current position and identifies short, medium and long-term requirements, so that they can make choices and budget accordingly. Our support contracts include network administration. As part of this, we carry out routine tasks such as creating and removing staff and pupil network accounts, creating and managing user and group email accounts, monitoring server backups, firewall and antivirus logs, managing web content filtering, installing important server and client updates, installing software and liaising with 3rd part vendors.
